Injectables & Wrinkle Relaxers
Neuromodulators
Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, and Jeuveau soften the lines that come from repeated expression: frown lines between the brows, horizontal forehead lines, and crow's feet. Dosed and placed well, they refresh without freezing.
The muscles of the face do more than fold skin. They also set where the brows sit, how wide the lower face looks, and how the mouth moves. Treating them precisely can change more than texture.
Where neuromodulators are used
- • Frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet
- • Eyebrow position and symmetry, including a subtle lift when the brows sit low or unevenly
- • Jawline and neck, softening the downward pull that blurs the jaw border
- • Lip flip for slight eversion of the upper lip without filler
- • Lines around the mouth, both softening existing ones and keeping new ones from etching in
- • Nasal shaping and contouring, an application Dr. Kamrani has published on
- • Bunny lines, chin dimpling, gummy smile, and downturned mouth corners
- • Masseter treatment for facial slimming and for TMJ-related jaw tension and clenching
There is no standard approach
Muscle strength, facial proportions, brow position, and how you actually use your face all change what should be injected and where. Two patients with the same complaint often need different plans, different doses, and different injection points. A dose that looks natural on one person will overtreat the next.
That is what the consultation is for: determining whether you are a good candidate at all, understanding what you want to change, and agreeing on what a reasonable result looks like for your face. Some patients are better served by a laser or a filler than by a neuromodulator, and that gets said out loud.
Dr. Kamrani's approach
Conservative, with the smallest effective dose and movement preserved. Adjustments happen at the two-week follow-up rather than by overcorrecting on the first visit. She has published peer-reviewed research on neuromodulators, including work on nasal shaping and on the myths that surround these treatments, and she uses them well beyond wrinkles.
